Regional Conduct of Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED)

In connection with the RDRRMC Memorandum No. 1, 2005 received from Regional Claudio L. Yucot, Chairperson, RDRRMC Bicol, OCD 5, All Schools Division are enjoined to actively participate in the conduct of the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) as outlined in the NDRRMC Memorandum No. 27, s. 2025

The National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) is a quarterly activity organizes by the Office of Civil defense (OCD) to enhance eathquake preparedness through the regular conduct of drills/exercises among the line agencies, LGUs and other government instrumentalities.

Schedule Quarterly NSED

1st Quarter - March 13, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.
2nd Quarter - June 19, 2025 at 9:00 a.m.
3rd Quarter - September 11, 2025 at 4:00 p.m.
4th Quarter - November 6, 2025 at 9:00 a.m.

Department of Education Regional Office V encourages the active participation of all learners, teachers and DepEd Personnel for the said NSED activity.

Learner Rights and Protection Program

The spearheading of this Program is in line with the mandate of the LRPO to provide technical assistance in identifying applicable preventive strategies and interventions for an operational guideline that the regional and division offices can cascade in their respective assigned schools.

The Bullying Prevention Program is in line with the provisions of DepEd Order No. 40, s. 2012 and DepEd Order No. 55, s. 2013 to address the issues of bullying in schools. Under the latter law, schools are mandated to adopt policies to address bullying in schools, to wit:

Rule III, Section 4. Adoption of Anti-Bullying Policies

All public and private kindergarten, elementary, and secondary schools shall adopt policies to address the existence of bullying in their respective institutions. Such policies shall be regularly updated and, at a minimum, shall include provisions on prohibited acts, prevention and intervention programs, mechanisms, and procedures.
